Cozy Plaids For Fall & Winter

Let’s go mad for paid!
I love the way plaid fabric makes you feel all warm and cozy. A nice warm fire with a comfy plaid blanket and cozy pillows, curl up and read your favorite book.....awwww. Nothing screams winter more than plaid.

It is a timeless fashion that is easy to use as an accessory to your daily fashion, for just a pop of color or for a classic piece. However, it can be tricky when wearing it, so here are a few ideas to help you get started.

Couple of guidelines:
Don't wear big plaids on your lower half if you are voluptuous, choose a plaid that is smaller and more streamline to the appearance.

Voluptuous does not mean that you cannot wear plaid, like the age old tale, you just have to be more inventive.
Skinny plaid pants are not good for the voluptuous gals, these are great for the smaller gals.
A plaid top is great on everyone, but keep it to a minimum if you are a voluptuous gal, check out the pictures below for inspiration.

Let's look at some fun accessories. A plaid bag is a great addition to maybe some skinny jeans with riding boots a plaid shirt with an accent bag.
Plaid shoes are great with skinny jeans, a long jacket or cardigan. Remember, if you are voluptuous on the bottom you can get away with skinny jeans or pants as long as you cover the butt area, this can be very slimming.
A plaid scarf is great with say some Spanx cord leggings with a white button down top and a camel collar blazer and riding boots.

There are endless possibilities, you could pair a plaid coat with your favorite leaopard flats or heels. Just remember to wear mostly solid colors and then add your pop of plaid.

Black leggings or a black skirt on the bottom half with a fun jacket on the top is perfect for the voluptuous bottom. If you are smaller on the bottom, wear some skinny plaid pants with a black or brown button down top. Add a bag to a simple dress and you have a very tailored look.

Add a scarf to a simple dress, jeans or with shorts and tights. The possibilities are mind blowing.
